A Shullenbarger tradition...up went the tree
only to discover the lights from last year were trashed. This required shopping to be done on Black Friday. We bought old fashioned bigger bulbs at a cute little nursery-tree farm place in Mount Airy and then survived our normal Costco shop. We returned to happily trim our tree. This was the first year the ornaments had been separated prior to opening the boxes. The kids were enraptured with old "friends" as it were. Chris and Jess enjoyed trimming with the kids instead of sorting ornaments. Video is included. The one random-one stems back to an uncaptured moment in Sunday service 3 weeks ago. We packed stickers for Elijah for service. During the sermon he begins working on them. Each time he stuck a frog on he'd let out this "rib-bit". He had a frog ornament and of course this is the "rib-bit" we heard in service except in service he was louder and there were about 12 frogs! The other video shows Elijah deciding that the stable would make a better boat. Rebekah was the star hanger this year.
Oh, and the tree is in the dining room. I think it works.
