It's not only on the table that
Haddie hold high court, we visited Chik-Fil-A the week the launched their new spicy sandwich and she got to sit in the driver's seat on a Fire Engine.
We did not plant a garden this Spring. Some plants have been popping up anyway. We have been measuring the sunflower in relation to the kids and it caught Elijah. Two days later it caught Caleb thanks to a good rain and three days after that it caught Rebekah!
By God's grace we successfully raised our 12 tailey-poes into adulthood this year. Our peepers
we about the size of a pinky nail.
The children entered their first "distance" event. They participated in the Brunswick Downhill Mile on June 5. To get them ready Jessica took them out on their last day of school and as part of field day we drove the course, then parked half way, walked up Park Ave to B St where the race would start walked the race, then walked back to the car. All done with no complaining! Later that evening they all ran a very skillful race. RE over took Caleb in the last quarter to put in a time of 8:09. CG clocked an
8:19. Elijah ran the whole way with a time of 12:29. Now everyone's
interested
in Cross Country
in the Fall! Runner received free ice cream following the race.
The week after school let out we finally made it to the zoo. We were supposed to go in October
but Jessica fell and ended up with stitches. We were joined by friends and family of friends'. As always we were treated to special things like THREE orangutans crossing the entire O-line, watching the hermit crab manuver its new staircase, and doing the touch tank. It was Haddie's first trip and she was all eyes!
