We have news. Our family has expanded to 7. We are very blessed to have the opportunity to host a foreign exchange student. Minki arrived immediate "after" the last blog's picnic. He is a 16 year old from Korea. He lives in Seoul. Minki will be living with us through the school year. It was very important to his family that he be in a Christian family so he is now here with us attending Brunswick High School.
Minki rode to school with Chris. This is the guys getting home on their "first" day.

Tuesday we had off for primary elections. Chris' parents, Pah and Grandma DJ, came up and we

all went to Harpers Ferry. We had lunch and really good ice cream and went up to Jefferson Rock. Thomas Jefferson stood on this rock on October 25, 1785, and spoke

of the beauty saying "The passage of the Patowmac through the Blue Ridge is perhaps one of the

most stupendous

scenes in Nature" and adds in closing that "This scene is worth a voyage

across the Atlantic." You can read Jefferson's full impression of the area
http://www.nps.gov/archive/hafe/jeffrock.htm . Jess and the kids are under

Jefferson Rock. Minki is standing beside it. Everyone else is just hanging out on rocks by Jefferson Rock.
