Happy Birthday, Caleb (and good-bye birthdays until November...heehee) What a weekend! Caleb's birthday invite list included Evan. This has to be negotiated with the Jeromes' travel schedule. The Jeromes were scheduling to go to Italy. Instead of having it on Caleb's birthday which would've been the same day as game night, we had it on the 19th. This meant his K Upward buddies wouldn't be able to make it and we would go from party to game to game. Wow! The theme: Mario Kart wii The cake (bless him): a wheel. Jessica got carried away and made power-ups out of the leftovers. The games: Pin the Yoshi on the Mach Bike, Balloon Battle, Scavenger Hunt, and Pose with the Camero. We had 5 guests and sometimes 7. Our Camero came special delivery from SGRAMardi (surrogate great aunt Mardi) and Steve Kemp. When thinking of party momentos we really try to avoid goody bags with trinkets. We started looking for a sports car. The Kemps' car was just right and they were willing to bring it up and even let the kids get in the driver's seat. For a moment though Jessica wondered if the big guys were going to take over with the car. Of course, Mardi go to play with Haddie all afternoon and Haddie got to play with her iPad.
