We left Uncle Bryan and Aunt Theresa's on Friday morning. We are so grateful for their hospitality, generosity and patience. We headed to Walnut Canyon from Prescott to begin our Eastward journey home. Walnut Canyon was a wonderful place. We arrived before it got hot. Our 2 junior rangers (Caleb does not like to have to do "work when it's not school") got straight down to business. The hike was "easy" with 200+ stairs

involved. A big find here was the echos, even Haddie enjoyed hearing her echo. We didn't experience native americans while we were down here. We'd like everyone to be older. It was disappointing to leave without experiencing much. Walnut Canyon met this. You could go IN the dwellings. We thought we'd found a beaver towards the bottom of the canyon but further study of the photograph revealed a squirrel. Caleb pulled his tooth loose at the end of the hike.
