Different day at the zoo coming off Jess' visit to the Brazilian consulate. We parked in the B parking lot. It was kind of like being lost.Time was limited but we did the American trail and still had fun.
Haddie still sees gators and crocs as the same thing. She was very happy to see this guy and the ones in side. See, a few weeks after we told the kids they were getting a sister we had to tell her that she couldn't have a baby in her tummy yet. Since she couldn't have a baby she decided a croc would do. She is carrying a healthy baby croc also due August 25. She makes sure her baby croc gets lots of water.
Photo credits all go to EA and CG.
Typical middle school field trippers--Kid: Whoa, Dude! What is that?!?!?" Friend: It's a big snake. Haddie: It's an An-a-con-da. (say it like Darla says piranha from Nemo.)
Highlight of the boys trip--multiple beavers, they're big. They were playing. They were fun.
G's expression is important. It's how we all feel hoofing up the 1/2 mile hill except we really only go up maybe a 1/4 of it.
Side by side extended dabbling, and they nail it!
Foot Loops anyone?
And Caleb's burrowing owl.
