Crafting Gimli

Gimli, son of Gloin

Fun stuff, let's work from the bottom up

Boots--massive winter boots that were hand-me-downs (maybe more like leave-me-heres) with a little duct tape for dwarf craftsmanship

Pants--Rebekah's brown cargo pants for a baggy touch

Chain mail--Chris' grey and cream cable sweater

Outer shirt--Rebekah's BES track and field shirt

Beard--a put-together with felt for The Hobbit birthday party January 2013, little worse for wear but good if put in the right place

Axe--another Chris creation in the forge from scraps covered in heavy duty foil

Helmet--still a work in progress, a little worse for wear...base is half a basketball (from Upward that was dead and had to be thrown away) painted to mask the words and detailed with silver paint, stylized with permanent marker. Jowl guards (not noticeable in this pic) and nose guard (fell off in car) cardboard attached with glue gun
Belt: Rebekah's

Creative cost $0, unless you get picky and count the beard which was ~$2.00 of material

"Memory is not what the heart desires." Fellowship of the Ring, Tolkien

"I'm wasted on cross-country! We dwarves are natural sprinters! Very dangerous over short distances!" The Two Towers, Jackson, Walsh, Boyens
