Truth--we didn't go up the space needle, which will be forever known as the Space Nootle in Shullydom thanks to Haddie, joining the ranks of Appleturkey.
We're leaving Seattle and do not have the classic landmark picture. Chris is taking us the needle for a family picture. Jess told him you have to pay for parking and stuff and it's too close to take the picture you want.
So this is a parking lot 2 blocks a way. Jubers was sleeping.
Pike's Place, and yes that's a line. Jess decided against waiting in it.
Second truth, until we were headed out here we didn't know what Pike's Place was.
For Starbucks lovers this would be like our Costco experience in Seattle. It's the first Starbucks.
So we get down to the market and it is PACKED on a Monday at 11 a.m.
People, where did you come from and what are you doing?!?!
On a mission to get something for a friend so we went to a different Starbucks there is on on every block here.
Jessica asked the girl who took the order what was up with the crowd and if she'd ordered okay for a first time. She said Jess did.
Turns out it was the warmest day so far and the sunniest all summer. "Everyone comes out when it's warm and sunny," she said. Oh. Okay, Seattle.
Jess made the family's first Starbucks purchase ever:
a mug, because that's what brought us there, and some drinks for "the experience"
Rebekah liked that.
Everyone else got or shared something too. CG ended up with an iced tea and in Caleb-rare-form downed the thing and the front seat tells the back seat "you're going to have to pee." Oh, yes, and did he have to go just after pulling on to the highway 5 blocks later.
We played the punch buggy game ALL the here.
There is an unusually high number of VW beetles in Seattle enough for one or two every block. We saw a lot of Porsches in varying models as well.

This creation topped everything though.
