Jessica celebrated her 29th birthday Monday. The fanfare was perfect and all Shullenbarger! Chris took off work. He made brown sugar and butter filled cresents rolls for breakfast. The birthday girl was treated to a nap while the pot roast and cake were fixed and the diningroom decorated with the Transformers theme. Dinner was served at lunch...pot roast with
sides of potatoes and carrots with gravy. Cake followed. Then presents. Since we had the Optimus Prime party masks no hat was needed. Instead, Jessica was made Queen for the day with a lovely Arwen gown from Lord of the Rings. We Shullenbargers have strange
birthday traditions due to a logistical error made by Jessica for Chris' 28th birthday (pirate theme) and
the kids thought hats were always needed. Friends added to the festivities
that year giving Jessica a Wonder Woman costume. She wore the boots to church. Chris was gifted the Darth Vader helmet for 29. Anyway, it's a Shullenbarger thing and the kids love it. Quiet time was followed by a wii bowling tournament. Struggling with what to do in the cold wet weather Jessica finally asked friends to come a play basketball at the church. We had a good turn out. So Happy Birthday to Jessica.
