From the marriage advice of the Bek, Chris and Jessica got a great laugh last night. Rebekah
ended up being the last one upstairs and somehow we started talking about being married. Oh it was a silly grade school prompt. Someone at church "loves chocolate" so another kid asked if they were "going to marry chocolate". So Rebekah expounded on the fact that chocolate was unmarriable as it was not a person. So Chris reinforced that Rebekah should of course marry and man who thinks the world of her AND loves Jesus. He asked if Rebekah could marry him and she got her "N-aw" response going that followed a giggle. "You're already married to Mama!" she stated. So Mama asked her if she could marry Caleb, "NO-wah, that's against the law. People haven't done that in a long time when princesses used to marry their brothers. Ew!" Well, we couldn't figure out where she got the historical setting but we were proud, relieved and laughing.
There's something about going to a portrait studio for the yearly family picture. Maybe it's the getting dressed in matching clothes. Maybe it's the cramped quarters of the studio itself and the acceptance that unless you're first your appointment will be

late. Maybe it's the incentive for pictures we didn't take ourselves or that fact that they'll be half of the 20 pictures taken for the year where all 5 ofus are in the same shot! Needless to say after the October endeavor we always enjoy taking our picture for the Christmas card. Everyone was

in a very good mood. Rebekah and Elijah were glad for spiffy clothes. Caleb was initiallly sour because he had wanted to wear a navy Cars shirt that got overruled. We found out Rebekah has found her smile again and is comfy
with herself. We discovered exactly how much of a ham Elijah was. We were stunned to see that
sometimes Caleb doesn't take a stellar picture especially when he's strangling Jessica.
