We had waffles for W week. We got a new washing machine Tuesday. It is good, except it had special directions about washing sheets. We found out what it is capable of....see

picture. It was like a trampoline. Jessica admits it's helped to hear of all the other friends that have had to get new appliance. Friday night we got out the movie night stuff.....homemade pizza, the tablecloth on the floor, and Wall-E. The kids enjoyed it. Then we had a special guest for the weekend. Our old pal (well he's not old, he's just been a friend for along time) Kelley Miles came in for Upward Saturday, sans family to the disappointment of the kids on both sides.

Elijah is on a growth spurt. He's eating alot. We had Tacos on Monday and he ate a whole one in the hard shell, which is a pretty big undetaking for a 3-year-old. Then he asked for more which was unusual. He said "one without the peel". Hmmm, he didn't want a shell. What a nut. On Tuesday during stations Elijah showed that he really is learning his letters. Jessica is relieved.

Rebekah's second tooth came out. It was already teetering Monday morning. The snow day led to lots of free play and Rebekah dashed into the room yelling "Mommy-Dadddy! My tooth came out". Turns out Caleb "did the most wonderful thing he's every done for me in my whole life" by bumping her in the mouth with this fist.

We got a snow day on Monday. It was spent building the Millenium Falcon that Chris got for Christmas. Especially the boys like Lego Star Wars.

Rebekah sorted the light pieces. Caleb helped with the other pieces and then Chris was able to show the kids the pictures and they could bring the pieces he needed. It was nice to have everyone contribute Elijah took sometime to build with the blocks he was responsible to sort. Elijah also wanted to help document the process...see upclose picture of the Falcon. The building undertaking was broken up by shopping at

Costco. No there was not enough snow to do anything, but it cancelled evening parent teacher conferences. It's one of Jessica's two least favorite days of the school year.

God is refining Jessica and she doesn't like it. The anniversary of Mom's death is this weekend. every winter this time of year is hard because cabin fever is at it's height. It's easy to be sad and self absorbed, but hard at the same time with the kids at home. Grieving is a hard process even at the best of times but so much more difficult when other things have life out of balance with other losses. God is growing Chris as he accepts the request to teach a membership class on "spiritual maturity"--translation, being a student of God's word.

Chris and Jessica got a special pick me up Tuesday when Jaci took the kids for two hours so we could go to the playoff game at Brunswick. The car dealership finally got the message about our car payment offer. We go to look Friday and maybe there will be a van in the driveway. Oh, for the days of wanting a suburban! The kids were bummed there was not a picture of Carbutt so here's his last tow. Elijah said last night on the way home that "I hope Carbutt doesn't get sick anymore."

Congrats to Bekah on her tooth! She was so excited about losing it on Friday. She looks cute!

Jess, I don't like refining either. Lifting you up in prayer!
