Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praise in the city of our God, in His holy mountain. Psalm 48:1

Jessica's mom used to sing this song around the house about the Mountain of God. It comes straight out of the Psalm:)
October meant more themes for Elijah in Kindergarten and more fun for all of us. Only by the grace of God are our days passing, filled, and enjoyable. There is no rhyme or reason to explain the ease with which we are cruising along.

Elijah did a "Mountain" theme the second week of October. The weather held us back but we went hiking up Sugarloaf Mountain on an absolutely perfect Thursday morning. Each kid carried a pack with lunch pieces. Jessica packed the baby in a completely awesome thing compliments of a yardsale and Mom;) It took us 3 and a half hours round trip including lunch on the summit and time to look in wonder. We scrambled up the steepest part to get that mountain climbing feeling.

Brunswick High School went through homecoming week at the same time. Dress themes were colors, decades, clash, costume and Brunswick colors. Minki and Chris had a lot of fun. Minki went to the football game Friday night and the dance Saturday. Jessica dropped him off and was very glad she had not taken Rebekah to look at the dresses:( Minki got a laugh at a dancing at a high school dance in America (at Brunswick), "boy and girl face each other, girl have hands on boy's shoulder, boy puts hands at her waist and they move side to side nothing more". Yeah, that was Chris and Jessica 13 years ago. Minki pulled an all-nighter with friends and then we got him for church in the morning.

Minki treated us to a dessert of Korean pancakes filled with a tasty treat. It is an honor to have him share his culture with us.

Around the house, Haddie is our mover and shaker and turning upside downer. She even snitched a bit out of a block of CHEESE! She's a whirlwind of activity, always moving.

The younger boys have been on a Solar Quest kick. Playing it often and for long sittings.

Rebekah was a purple girl at Railroad Days. Jessica took the kids down into town while Minki and Chris rested at home homecoming Sunday. They had facepainting and hairspraying. Rebekah had both done in purple. Haddie got purple hair and Elijah green. Caleb would have nothing to do with it.

Elijah had Fall week and we went bobbing for apples. Unfortunately we used the bucket Hadassah uses for play and quick baths. She got a little territorial.
