Cal-i-forn-yah

We debated on seeing Nevada's Valley of Fire State Park but it was really hot a pretty far away so we opted to return to Lake Meade for a second day then it was off to Cal-i-forn-yah. We had the pleasure of stopping through an agriculutral inspection area. We got asked if we had any plants in the car. We have cactus. He said we were okay. Guess it's not cactus they're worried about.
We stopped in at Peggy Sue's diner and had a lot of fun ordering shakes and floats. They had lifesized versions of Elvis, the Blues Brothers and Marilyn Monroe. Rebekah wouldn't pose with Norma Jean.
There was a little park and pizzeria attached to the back. It was pretty and smelled good.
There were other places to eat but it was good to see the establishment heavily frequented by the marines who are stationed across the street. I assure you the Jack in the Box restaurant was not as busy as Peggy Sue's. The Marines
had even brought their vehicles which Elijah really liked so we took lots of pictures. One Marine said he had the keys but we needed to load up and keep trucking West.
