Under the Sea, Darlin' it's better down where it's wetter, take it from Caleb.

Jessica fell in love with the Pacific's tide pools and could've spent another day there. In the morning she looked for a beach to go to with tidal pools. Grover was having trouble and the beach he found did not have tidal pools. The very kind and very patient life guard gentlemen not only gave directions but wrote them down with landmarks and

specifics as soon as Jessica said, "we're from Maryland". He also explained that La Jolla was not "la jol-la" but "la hoya". We did not have another Dubuque accident (which is pronounced Deh-byook not du-boo-key) to get that far, thankfully, although Jessica thanked him for spelling it because otherwise we would've been lost looking for "hoya " (yes, dad I know that's where the Fargos live and yes until I've been mentally pronouncing it, "jol-la"--you may stop laughing now and Paula too) but not seeing it. He gave us
THE best spot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And God provided a parking place which proved scarce unbeknownst to us. Ours was in high demand when we left. Fun Fun times! Dressed appropiately to walk the pools in the "early morning" (before noon). It was still cold and the kids faithfully wore their hoodies and were happy until a surg wave creamed Caleb. THEY were still happy but Caleb was wet ("Without a change of clothes until we get back to Uncle Brian's!" there were shirts under the hoodies.) Then everyone needed to get wet. *sigh* Haddie's pants and Rebekah's sleeves proved to have great capillary action. We saw surf. We saw foam. We saw anenomes. We saw crabs. We caught little tiny hermit crabs which Elijah proudly shared with Hadassah. We saw cute little ground squirrels that Haddie absolutely LOVED! (She's our squirrel.) We climbed in grottoes. It was cool and everyone left tired and fell asleep except for Caleb.
