On our our "big" things this summer. Sea World was on the board as an option. There is one in

San Diego, San Antonio and in Orlando. Shout out to Dad for encouraging us to take it in while in San Diego for the heat. We had a wonderful day. We started off attending church at Grace Church (SGM) and then coming back to the hotel. We ate dinner for lunch

and took off for Sea World with a 1

p.m. arrival. At first it looked like we were too late to see everything. At Sea World, really there's not much to do; it's all about watching the shows. There aren't many rides. The big ride they did have was, um, sub-Anheuser-Busch standards although the kids liked it. We thought we'd come too

late to see all the shows when we

walked up to the sealion show too late (10 minutes early) and realized that they get filled up fast. We did see them all and the sea lion show we saw was THE BEST! It was not their normal day show it was SeaLions Tonight and a spoof of all their other shows with two trainers from the

Shamu show and a great lead comic

relief. Haddie LOVED everything immediately doing the "whale voice" of Dory (think high pitched gutteral humming) but from baby einstein when she show her first orca. In fact she couldn't say "ish" enough today. Caleb saw some potential job opportunities combining entertaining

with his love for water. He is

interested in SCUBA lessons. Rebekah was excited about how many girls were "really working" there and no just standing around "being pretty". She found out that you don't have to have a college degree to START with Sea World. Elijah loved the trainers. We left encouraged that we had made a family memory and done

something we could do no where else, seeing the orcas and pilot whales. We were also reminded at how blessed we are to live where we do to have such fabulous facilities near us to see sharks and rays and "ish".
