day 10 The Dam Lake

Hiking was out of the question. We'd hiked a lot. We set out to find a little splashing action.

The TVA manages the dams that bring electricity to the area. The dams created reservoirs that have been utilized for outdoor reaction. We visited the Douglas Dam recreational area.

Galilee is very veRY VERY busy! She took off to the water on her own.

She enjoyed the sand.

She LOVED the water...

Peek-a-boo!

She helped bury Elijah.

Then she moved into the best seat on the beach.

The swimming area was outlined by the floating yellow pipe. It provided a seat and a diving board. Chris took the opportunity to "fix" the area to its proper size.

TIMBER!

What a great backdrop!

 Sculpting with with with
WHAT IS THAT STUFF. Rebekah (and Jess) made mini vessels. Chris was more simply amused.

We lunched there

and had special visitors who we did not feed.
Firing the finished products on the dashboard.

I've really enjoyed your vacation!

*Love* the determined look on Galilee's face while crawling to the water!
