Harvest Party

Haddie was playing with the dishwasher and this picture happened.
We got to enjoy a harvest festival thrown by friends at church. Our family theme was Super Mario brothers. Minki purchased the overalls for spirit week. For the family though we bought $4 worth of stuff at Goodwill. Hadassah was Blue Toad--white tights, white onesie, blue baby t-shirt cut open and glue gun hemmed ("genius" according to Minki) and a bicycle helmet with construction paper dots. Elijah was Mario with red turtle neck, blue overalls, and a red cap plus paper circle with a big M. Caleb was Luigi with a green shirt blue overalls from the clothes closet and a green hat, white circle and green L. Rebekah was Princess Peach which required some thinking. A size 2 prom dress set for her stocking dress up, combined with a pink T-shirt that was puffed with packing paper covered her. She had a crown. Minki was Super Mario with his overalls sweat shirt and hat plus circle and red M. Jessica was a power up mushroom--one poodle (scotty) skirt that her Mom made for her in 5th grade, 1 hula hoop, lots of paper

packing for spores, a red tam (knitted by mom) with white dots everywhere oh and of course white sweatpants for the stalk. Chris was the flagpole at the end of the level with gray clothes, black hat/flag with Haddie toy for the yellow top, logo cut outs from on line of bowser, and complete with brick feet at Rebekah's suggestion. We got the boys to wear Claudio brothers mustaches for a while but
they kept blowing away. They had games, like pumpkin rolls and sack races, and a fire and food. It was a great time. The Shullenbargers won best costume theme. Truthfully no one else dressed as a family set though. Do we have too much time on our hands? Yikes.
